Itinerary
Day 1:New York
Guests will be picked up in New Jersey and New York in the early morning. Today we will spend the day touring New York, NY, the City That Never Sleeps! Stops include Wall Street, the Empire State Building, a guided tour of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Madame Tussauds’ Wax Museum. Guests are also invited to take a Boat Tour of the harbor that will bring them close to the Statue of Liberty. We will spend the night in New Jersey.
Day 2:New York – Princeton – Philadelphia – Lancaster – Washington DC (263 miles)
In the morning, we will visit Pricneton, NJ to see the campus of the prestigious Ivy League school, Princeton University. Next, we will depart for historic Philadelphia, PA to visit National Independence Park, where we will see Congress Hall and the Liberty Bell. Before leaving Pennsylvania, we will drive to Lancaster, in the heart of Amish Country, where we will visit an Amish Farm and House. We will spend the night in Washington, D.C.
Day 3:Washington DC
Today, we will visit the most iconic landmarks in Washington, D.C., making stops at Capitol Hill, where we may be able to tour inside if tickets are available, the Jefferson, Lincoln, Vietnam War, and Korean War Memorials. We will also get the chance to take a Potomac River Cruise. Guests will have half of the day free to explore on their own.
Note: If the U.S. Capitol was closed, we would only take pictures from outside. U.S. Capitol is closed on Sunday.
Day 4:Washington DC – Corning – Niagara Falls (429 miles)
Today, we will drive north to visit the Corning Glass Museum in Corning, NY. We will then continue to Niagara Falls, where we will take the famous Maid of the Mist boat ride (or Jet boat Ride), see the Niagara Falls Adventure Movie, and the Thundering Water Cultural Show. Afterwards, we will be able to choose either to stay in the Falls Park for self-exploration or embark on an in-depth tour that includes visits to Whirlpool State Park and Old Fort Niagara.
Day 5:Niagara Falls – Thousand Islands – Syracuse (summer) or Niagara Falls – Boston (winter)
Option 1: Niagara Falls – Thousand Islands – Syracuse (380 miles) (Summer)
Our day begins with a trip to the Thousand Islands region in the St. Lawrence River. During the summer, we will have the chance to take a Boat Tour of the area. Afterwards, head to Syracuse, NY for the night.
Option 2: Niagara Falls – Boston (407 miles) (Winter)
Driving along the Erie Canal in upstate New York, we will continue our journey to Boston, MA. Here, we will tour the campuses of Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. After that, we will pass Trinity Church, the Hancock Building, Boston Common, the Public Gardens, the Boston Athenaeum, while overlooking the golden dome of the Massachusetts State House. In the evening, we will enjoy a delicious Lobster Dinner.
Day 6:Syracuse – Boston (summer) or Boston – Newport (winter)
Option 1: Syracuse – Boston (311 miles) (Summer)
In the morning we will drive to Boston, MA, and spend the rest of the day touring this historic city where the American Revolution was born. Stops on our comprehensive tour include Harvard University, MIT, Trinity Church and more! The day will end with a New England favorite, a Lobster Dinner.
Option 2: Boston – Newport (61 miles) (Winter)
Today we will take a city tour of Boston, beginning with Trinity Church. Next we will explore the New England Aquarium. Then we will take a relaxing Boston Harbor Cruise, giving us a breathtaking view of the city from the water. After lunch at Quincy Market, we will drive south to New York City and stop at Newport, RI to visit the Breakers Mansion.
Day 7:Boston – Yale University – New York (190 miles)
Guests can choose to fly out of Boston. Alternatively, we will visit the campus of Yale University in the morning before heading back to New York to be dropped off at the airports there. Please see “Departure and Return” for more detailed information regarding when to schedule flights.

If you would like to join the optional activities, please pay the fee in cash to the tour guide. You cannot buy / use the tickets on your own or use City Passes. The tour guide will arrange the tickets for the group.
Philadelphia Duck Tour fee: $3 per person for boat parking tax and service fee.
All meals and drinks during the trip.
A mandatory service fees: Minimum $8 / day / person should be paid in cash to tour guide and the bus driver as a service fee. Any child / Infant reserving a seat will have to pay the service fees as well. Ex: 2 people taking a 2-day tour would pay: $8 x 2 (seats) x 2 (days) = $32.
Personal room fees: such as laundry or valet services, telephone calls, or alcoholic beverages/mini bar items, unless they are otherwise specified.

City passes are not accepted during an escorted tour due to the fact that they do not correspond into the tour schedule. The group entrance tickets provided by tour guides have fast lane and tour guides accompany passengers for activities.
Bus Arrangement: Usually only passengers in the same order will be arranged in the same bus. If you book the tour separately with your friends and you want to sit in the same bus, you need to inform us before departure . Or you may be arranged in different buses.
Itineraries are subject to change due to the weather, transportation and other conditions, in order to provide the best experience for you.
Customers are held solely responsible for their own travel documents and/or visas if required.
Hotel rooms:
Each hotel room can accommodate no more than 4 guests (adults or children), and existing bedding must be used
Language:
All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour and/or driver guides (English/Chinese). Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours and/or languages may be combined to operate the tours.
Policies:
Your ticket(s) will be confirmed at the time of booking. Please allow up to 8 hours to receive the confirmation. Your booking will be processed as soon as possible.
Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, is included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

Booking changes
A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to Taketours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .
Tour Departure: This tour has 100% guaranteed departure; if the tour is cancelled there will be refund of 120%. Restrictions apply; due to weather conditions, State Emergencies, Airport Closures or anything beyond the control of the tour operator the 120% refund will NOT apply.
Cancellation penalties per person for tours last 5 or more days
Up to 46 days prior to departure – 10% of total purchase amount.
21-45 days prior to departure – 25% of total purchase amount.
8-20 days prior to departure – 50% of total purchase amount.
1-7 days prior to departure – 100% of total purchase amount.
Day of departure or no show – 100% per person.
Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
There is 6% handling fee add-on to the above penalties.
NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.
Itinerary Variations
We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary – we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
Tour Cancellation:
We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, Taketours’ only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
